Great little donut shop. Friendly staff, clean, excellent selection of donuts and other pastries. They could however stand to add a bit more lemon filling to there lemon Donuts.

6 people working 1 other customer in here and no one can help me Went into Mary's this morning there's one person in line ahead of me no one else in the building at the end of picking out my selection of donuts I asked for three of them to be filled the lady told me she didn't have time to fill my Donuts really fed up with the quality of people they have working here by the way there was 2 people working the counter and two people in the back bakingHas been way better last 2 times I absolutely love their donuts and they have great customer service but anymore every time I go in they don't have any donuts no selection they don't have maple bars you know I don't get that if you know you're going to run out or what you're making isn't enough then make more maybe it's time for New Management I don't know

All of the donut are so good here... maple bacon is my favorite as well as chocolate cream filled.

Great selection of donuts. My favorites are the blueberry cake donut, old fashioned, maple and cruller. Lately, I noticed that my favorite donuts aren't available as often, which is quite disappointing. They said I can call ahead of time to see if they have them. As a donut shop they should have all their flavors available.

Mary's is the only place i have found who understands the subtleties of doughnuts. The test is always a simple glazed curler. I have been the guy making 160 dozen every night at a shop out of state. I found Mary's and now i know of 3 shops doing it right. Two are Mary's. Hooahh.. Eat at Mary's keep the standard high.

Okay, so I been coming to Mary's back in the day after highschool events back when it was on mission gorge. Now that it's moved it's better than ever. I feel like San Diego is a donut dessert sprinkled with a few super gourmet insanely priced donuts or yum-yum. Mary's is better than both and it's probably the least expensive some how. Show up to a party with a dozen cream puffs or donuts from this place and it's not gonna break the bank.

Great donuts store! The apple fritter is huge and delicious; crunchy on the edge and soft on the inside. The glazed donut is fluffy and good. The price is reasonable for such great donuts.

I love donuts and this place has the best apple fritters I’ve had anywhere else, and I’ve tried many! Their donuts are made fresh all day long and they also have cream puffs in lemon or custard flavor which are also delish! Their bear claws have a peanut butter and jelly filling and they’re huge, warm and great! The maple bacon donut has pieces of bacon on top and it’s also one of my favorites. I’ve tried most of their donuts and I can’t say I’ve had one that I didn’t like. Their prices are good, they have two locations and they’re open 24 hours. I like the location in Lakeside versus the one in Santee. I’m getting hungry now!

They are the best donuts ever and just the most sweetest people. When they found out it was my Birthday and the donut was my treat to myself they insisted I not pay. They totally made my day!

Excellent freshly made tasty donuts and coffee. Mary's donuts are way better than Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, and supermarket donuts. The five star rating is truly earned. Quality ingredients and perfectly followed recipes result in consistently top notch donuts that are never too sweet, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The prices are fair and the friendly employees are always eager to make suggestions if you can't make up your mind.

This place is rad. The decor is pretty cool and the donuts that were displayed looked very appetizing. Unfortunately there is ZERO vegan donuts here. However they do have a massive apple fritter which my husband enjoyed a lot. My son loved his Boston Cream donut. He said the center was creamy. The service is quick and we have absolutely no problems with that. Will be coming back to test out other flavours.

Mary's makes amazing donuts! They stay busy because people come for miles around to get their donuts, so they are always super fresh. Their donuts are also less greasy because the fry them at the right temp.Definitely check out their cream filled puffs! And they will just about anything you ask them to, on the spot.

Went in to get myself the peanut butter and jelly donut, my friend hooked me onto. They didn't have it but I remember him saying if they don't have it ask them to fill the jelly donut with peanut butter, and I did what he said. I got a.dozen donuts 4 of them jelly were suppose to be filled with peanut butter, and they only filled 2 of them and had me thinking the filled all of them. Got home had to throw 1 away because when I took my second bite I almost broke my tooth because there was a sharp plastic item in my donut. Enjoyed my second one and was mad 3 and 4 had noOoOo peanut butter 😥.

Me and my kids had been talking about donuts all day and we we're passing by here and we decided to stop. When we walked in u didn't feel welcomed right away we were told this is all we have. Which wasn't much to choose from if am going to pay $10 for a dozen donuts I want something I like. Then I asked my kids if they at least wanted some donut holes and then I was told by the same lady that they had more to choose from in the back. I asked her specificly for the two in liked she rolled her eyes that's when i decided they didn't want my $10 I felt not welcomed am going to assume because i don't look like Mary I look more like Maria. 😁👩

The service was outstanding. Their donut display immediately made my mouth water. They had a rack of maple bars with bacon sprinkles that looked delicious which I've made a mental note to be sure and go back to try. I wasn't sure that early in the morning that my stomach was in the mood for that much deliciousness. The coffee area was clean and all kettles were full. Creamers were chilled and plentiful. Overall, a terrific place to grab a donut and hot cup of coffee.

24 hours. Fresh donuts made multiple times a day. What more do you need? Coffee, they got that to.

I order a birthday donut at the Santee shop for my daughter who is turning 4 years old. I picked up the donut and for got to check if they had written Happy Birthday Niah like I told them to do. When I got home, I checked the donut and they for got to write happy birthday Niah on the donut. I am very disappointed and sad. I called them immediately and told them they had for gotten to put happy birthday Niah on the donut. They stated they didn't have anything down on writing happy birthday on the donut. I told them it's a birthday donut and was suppose to say happy birthday Niah, then she remember and apologize. She told me to bring it back so she can write on it but I live in Alpine, so I wasn't going to drive back. They offered me a Gift Card.

Great people, great food, great prices! I've been to The Donut Bar in downtown San Diego and now I've been to Mary's Donuts. Mary's Donuts takes the cake!

Nice friendly

I have been going to Marys Donuts for a long time and usually receive good service but the other day I went late at night, early morning to get a few sandwiches and the lady was very rude! She mumbled a few things and told me to call ahead next time because they need time to make the one I was asking for even though there was a huge batch right behind her. I'd hate to work w her! The poor guy behind her was even speechless She seemed to have a problem with selling me a few sandwiches? Mary please teach the night cashier a little customer service!

Great experience!! First the clerk asked if there were any allergies when asking for a dozen of donuts for kids (awesome!) Then I had the maple bacon bar...oh my gosh! Deliscious and was hot and fresh! Open 24 hours and not far from much. You gotta try this place!

Service lately has been super bad. I love the donuts but not the bad attitudes. Specifically the attitude of one woman in particular and I'm pretty sure she's manager. Not going to waste money on business interactions in which I'm paying and being above-and-beyond polite, but not receiving the same common decency back. You can KEEP your donuts. They're not good enough to deal with horrendous service I keep receiving.

They make a giant cake sized donut by special order for $10! It’s as large as my head. Their apple fritters are very large as well but this is a special thing! Open all the time and super fresh they have all the standard favorite donut flavors, but a few standouts sell out regularly like their fritters, cinnamon crumb, normal sized glazed twists, a jumbo glazed chocolate vanilla twist we call the twist of fate. They even have jalapeño croissants but pretty much only in the morning as those are also a hit! You can’t go wrong with trying any of the donut holes though a favorite is the custard, and the full sized chocolate glazed custard stuffed as well while your at it! Their buttermilk bar here is also particularly crumbly, dense and nicely thick.

Mary's Donuts are my favourite in the entire world! The flavours and price are exceptional and the service is always outstanding and delivered with a genuine smile. Whenever I visit San Diego this place is always on my list of things to do before I leave and I crave these donuts until my next trip. I highly recommend the chocolate glazed Boston creme and the donut holes, but really you can't go wrong with any of the vast array of donuts on offer here.

Outstanding customer service, fresh selection, unique donuts, and nice history behind the community collage of pictures. I'd eat here every day if donuts weren't so unhealthy, but these make it worth it.

Went to their old location not realizing they've moved. I said no way are they out of business - I Googled them & found the new location. Same great service & delicious treats as before, in a nice, new, and much larger space. I highly recommend!! I believe they serve the best donuts in San Diego county & I've tried just about every donut shop there is in central, south & east county...
